So, I and reformeddogmatist seems to have several disagreements about skepticism, so I decided to make a topic about it so we don't fill up the other threads with debate about it.
I'll start up with a youtube video, which I don't really think reformeddogmatist needs (he seems very educated), but it's a good way for others to gain a good grasp over what being skeptical really means on an everyday basis.
Personally, I don't see how it's ever possible to live without some measure of skepticism in your life. We all need to be skeptical at times, but I happen to find this way of thinking to be good even on a grand scale, such as when dealing with world views and extraordinary claims.

Are you skeptical of that?

We all need to be skeptical at times, but I happen to find this way of thinking to be good even on a grand scale, such as when dealing with world views and extraordinary claims. Just one question... Are you skeptical of that? Skeptical about being skeptical? I can imagine some such scenarios. For example, the truth might be hidden in some cases, or simply not have much clear evidence pointing towards it. If you are very skeptical then, you might miss the truth because of your high standards. I realize this, and thus, try to be even skeptical of skepticism, knowing that skepticism might at some times obscure the truth of a question for me for a time. That's not to say that skepticism is flawed though, just that it's not omnipotent.

I have watched the video and have made some notes of criticism. Your latest post I find rather interesting as well. I will reply sometime tonight if I get around to it, or sometime later this week.
